Short Introduction
The truth is that very little is know about the biodiversity of Microgastrinae in Greece. This is most likely due to the sporadic spatial and temporal collection efforts that fellow researchers have performed in Greece. From these pages we will try to combine all available data of the Greek Microgastrinae providing the basis for further research on this elusive, diverse and increasingly important taxon. This effort will be aided by the renewal of the entomological collection at the Zoological Museum of the University of Athens. Anyone interested in participating (from compiling relative data to depositing specimens at the Museum...) is encouraged to contact Dr. Chris Georgiadis (cgeorgia[at]biol.uoa.gr), Assistant curator of the entomological collection.

Species checklist (as provided by Jose Fernandez-Triana)
The following is a compilation of the lists from Fauna Europaea (which lists 73 species for Greece and Crete) and Taxapad (which lists 92 species from the same areas). Comparing the two lists, the one in Fauna Europaea had 5 species that were not recorded in Taxapad, so the consolidated list of both sources yields 97 species. Additionally, one unpublished record is included (Glyptapanteles liparidis, from Mark Shaw & Jose Fernandez-Triana, unpub.). So, this update list contains 98 species for Greece (including Crete).
